Kidstock! @Home with Peter Ali & Swil Kanim

/

This interactive, live-streamed performance will feature Indigenous artists Peter Ali and Swil Kanim sharing their music, stories, and traditions from the ECA stage on Saturday, February 27 at 10:30 AM via YouTube Live.

Peter Ali is a talented and self-taught Native flutist creating his music not from notes but from the spirit within, so each performance is unique and special. He plays a variety of native flutes and shares stories of his rich ethnic heritage. Swil Kanim is a US Army Veteran, storyteller, actor, classically trained violinist, and a member of the Lummi Nation. For many years he has traveled up and down the West Coast, playing the violin and telling stories at schools, community events, and festivals. Both artists were featured in a performance for the Dalai Lama in the Seeds of Compassion event in Seattle. Edmonds Center for the Arts is honored to welcome these performers to the Kidstock! @Home Series.

KIDSTOCK! @HOME is made possible with generous support by the Hazel Miller Foundation, Nancy Bittner, Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation, Edmonds Arts Commission, Edmonds Bookshop, and First Financial Northwest Bank.
