Mission of ECA

A cultural resource for the entire region, Edmonds Center for the Arts inspires
creativity, learning and growth through performing arts presentations,
community partnerships and education outreach programs.

Vision for ECA

Edmonds Center for the Arts will:

• Present a varied selection of performing artists from around the world;

• Develop partnerships to showcase local performing artists and organizations in an effort to help  them build audience and increase impact;

• Engage citizens young and old in valuable performing arts education and outreach programs;

• Provide a central place for the community to come together to engage in dialogue, celebrate  community and experience great performances

• Catalyze economic growth and vitality in Edmonds and throughout the surrounding region; and

• Operate responsibly, balancing significant community impact with sound financial management.

Impact of ECA

• ECA will impact the lives of more than 80,000 people in its first full year of operations;

• ECA will quickly build a reputation as an exciting entertainment magnet in South Snohomish and North King Counties and a strong anchor for tourism in Edmonds;

• ECA will have a significant cultural impact in the region as artists from around the world fill the stage with theatre, music, dance, comedy, lecture series and more;

• At least 15 new jobs will be created when Edmonds Center for the Arts opens to the public in October of 2006; and

• ECA patrons will fuel the local and regional economies as they visit the many wonderful restaurants, shops and galleries Edmonds and its neighboring communities have to offer.
