Celebrating Visual Arts at Edmonds Center for the Arts

Edmonds Center for the Arts is committed to the visual arts in our community.  ECA has established a Visual Arts program to create a rotating exhibit of artists in the ECA gallery spaces.  ECA invites visual artists from  the Puget Sound region to become part of the arts community in Edmonds by displaying your work in ECA's stunning Art Moderne-Era building, where thousands of patrons attend performances throughout the year.  Several pieces donated or on loan from the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation are already on display, such as these Sonja Blomdahl chandeliers, and we invite you to visit today.

OBJECTIVE:  Provide an opportunity for regional artists to exhibit their work at Edmonds Center for the Arts, a performing arts center in downtown edmonds.  Visual arts will be exhibited in gallery spaces throughout the theater and campus.

CRITERIA:

• Artwork content and materials must be suitable for display in family-oriented public venue.
• Artwork should include variety in types and styles of exhibits (differing mediums, subject matter, etc)
• Selection of artwork will be based on:
  • quality of work
  • connection of content, technique and/or origin of work to stage presentations in ECA's performance series.

Artists will be selected from submissions received in response to the ECA Call for Artists, available here.  Art will be displayed in the gallery on the upper mezzanine of the theater, and is available for sale, with a 30% commission, through the ECA Box Office.
