Please join us for an informative, collaborative and FUN few days in partnership with other WA State Public Facility Districts to focus on what makes us unique and how we support and expand the work in our communities. This event is hosted by the four Snohomish County PFD’s: Angel of the Winds Arena, Boeing Future of Flight, Edmonds Center for the Arts and Lynnwood Event Center.
The conference will be held September 23-25, 2024 at the Lynnwood Event Center, with visits to other Snohomish County PFDs.
Start with a happy hour and special performance and tour Monday night at Edmonds Center for the Arts on 9/23. Upon registration- please let us know if you will be attending this portion of the conference.
Sessions begin Tuesday morning and include Innovations in Public Spaces, Land Use Considerations, and an update from our state lobbyist, Jim Hedrick on plans for the upcoming legislative session. Please come prepared with a couple sentences to share for that session on how an extension of the state sales tax will benefit your PFD. Tuesday afternoon includes reviewing our basics from insurance and risk management, Dept. of Commerce requirements for PFDs, and an in-depth finance panel. Then we are off for a tour of Boeing Future of Flight and dinner and tour at Angel of the Winds Arena.
Wednesday includes a full business meeting reporting from the State PFD and sharing on individual projects around the state.
