Join Las Guaracheras for an inspiring pre-show talk about their journey in the musical industry and the transformative role of women in salsa. This conversation will explore the challenges and triumphs of being an all-woman ensemble in a traditionally male-dominated space, emphasizing the importance of women’s representation in the field.

Hailing from Cali, Colombia, Las Guarachas have redefined salsa with their unique instrumental approach, incorporating vibraphone, percussion, bass, piano, and vocals to craft a modern yet deeply rooted sound. Their music not only invites dance and celebration but also tells powerful stories that elevate the female voice within Afro-Latin music.

This event is FREE with registration.

What to expect:

  • -Personal stories from the artists and their experiences in the salsa scene
  • -Motivational insights encouraging people to pursue their musical interests
  • -A sneak peek 3-5min demonstration of their artistry

This pre-show talk is preceded by an interactive percussion workshop beginning at 5:00PM. The Las Guaracheras Special Engagement performance begins at 7:30PM. Patrons who have tickets for the 7:30PM performance of Las Guaracheras must also register separately for the workshop and/or the pre-show talk if they wish to attend.
