Join Las Guaracheras, the dynamic all- women salsa sextet from Cali, Colombia, for an exciting salsa percussion workshop! This hands-on experience invites students of all ages to explore the vibrant fusion of Afro- Caribbean and Latin American rhythms that define salsa music.  

Participants will have the unique opportunity to be on stage with the artists and learn Latin salsa rhythms directly from Las Guaracheras. No prior musical experience is necessary! 

The workshop will be followed by a free pre-show talk with Las Guaracheras at 6:00PM. The Las Guaracheras Special Engagement performance begins at 7:30PM. Patrons who have tickets for the 7:30PM performance of Las Guaracheras must also register separately for the workshop and/or the pre-show talk if they wish to attend. 

This event is FREE with registration.

What to Expect:  

– Hands-on instruction with Las Guaracheras on essential salsa rhythms

– A fun and interactive space to explore Afro-Latin percussion techniques

– An on-stage experience where participants will sit on the ground or stand while engaging in the workshop

– Spectators are welcome to observe from theater seating, but all active participants will remain on stage
